How to migrate your volume App


This guide will help you to migrate your volume App data (including score) into the new App (v3.0).

This will allow you to keep all your volumes in a single App. After migrated you could remove your Volume app if you wish, Volume data will be stored in our server and in the new App.

This guide is valid for all devices (IOS, Android and Windows)

 

1. Install the new app. Download it for free. IOS and Android users should get it from their Appstore. Windows users could download it from here.

 

2. Create a username. When installing the new app, you will be asked to create your username and provide a valid email. Your username + email combination will be used to store your purchase data and score.

PLEASE PROVIDE A REAL EMAIL AS THIS WILL BE USED FOR FUTURE RE-INSTALLATIONS.

If you are going to install the new app in different devices (iPad, Android tablets or PC) you should use the same Username and Email every time you install the new app so you could share your score across devices in the future. IF YOU CREATE DIFFERENT USERNAME + EMAIL COMBINATIONS YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SHARE YOUR SCORE.

 

3. Update your volume App. Once the new App is installed you should update your Volume app to the latest version (2.4.0). IOS and Android users should get it from their appstore. PC users should use their original download link provided upon purchase to download the updated installer and execute it to update the volume App.

 

4. Export volume data. Once updated, open your Volume app. You will be prompted with a warning. Click <Export> to send your volume data to our server.

YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE INTERNET CONNECTION.

After exported you should receive a confirmation message.

 

5. Import data into new App. Close your volume App and open the new App. Click on an airport that belongs to the exported Volume. The Product window will appear. Click on the Migrate icon at the top right.

YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE INTERNET CONNECTION.

A request will be sent to the server and if succesfull you would be able to click <Install> and the migrated volume will be installed.

AFTER INSTALLATION YOU MUST RESTART YOUR APP TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS.

 

8. Update score. Score is not updated automatically, you need to sync it from the server within the License window, by clicking in the Score area.
